Students will become familiar with common diseases by understanding the etiology (cause), signs and symptoms, diagnostic criteria, tests and procedures, associated complications and treatment regiments including surgical procedures and/or medications. – 5 quarter credits
This course integrates expanded anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology coverage with medical terminology specifically tailored to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS guidelines. Students will learn root words prefixes, suffixes and combing forms used in medical terminology. - 5 quarter credits
